A £6,000 grant from the PyC Community Fund has helped Back2Front Physiotherapy Ltd invest in a new InBody Body Composition Analyser — supporting business growth, customer retention and a wider health and wellbeing offer.
The new equipment is now part of Back2Front’s 90-day goal review process, helping clients track meaningful progress beyond weight and BMI alone.
The impact?
✅ New service added to the business
✅ Improved customer retention
✅ Additional revenue stream
✅ Jobs sustained and supported
✅ Increased turnover and profit reported
✅ Stronger foundations for future growth

Back2Front said the funding has helped them continue evolving from a physiotherapy business into a wider health and wellbeing service.
“𝘈 𝘴𝘮𝘢𝘭𝘭 𝘪𝘯𝘷𝘦𝘴𝘵𝘮𝘦𝘯𝘵 𝘪𝘯 𝘺𝘰𝘶𝘳 𝘣𝘶𝘴𝘪𝘯𝘦𝘴𝘴 𝘤𝘢𝘯 𝘮𝘢𝘬𝘦 𝘢 𝘩𝘶𝘨𝘦 𝘥𝘪𝘧𝘧𝘦𝘳𝘦𝘯𝘤𝘦 𝘵𝘰 𝘺𝘰𝘶𝘳 𝘣𝘰𝘵𝘵𝘰𝘮 𝘭𝘪𝘯𝘦. 𝘛𝘩𝘦 𝘗𝘺𝘊 𝘊𝘰𝘮𝘮𝘶𝘯𝘪𝘵𝘺 𝘍𝘶𝘯𝘥 𝘮𝘢𝘬𝘦𝘴 𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘴 𝘴𝘮𝘢𝘭𝘭 𝘪𝘯𝘷𝘦𝘴𝘵𝘮𝘦𝘯𝘵 𝘱𝘰𝘴𝘴𝘪𝘣𝘭𝘦, 𝘸𝘩𝘪𝘤𝘩 𝘩𝘢𝘴 𝘰𝘱𝘦𝘯𝘦𝘥 𝘴𝘰 𝘮𝘢𝘯𝘺 𝘥𝘰𝘰𝘳𝘴 𝘧𝘰𝘳 𝘣𝘶𝘴𝘪𝘯𝘦𝘴𝘴 𝘨𝘳𝘰𝘸𝘵𝘩.”

This is a great example of how PyC funding supports local businesses to diversify, grow and create lasting impact in their communities.

Mae grant o £6,000 gan Gronfa Gymunedol PyC wedi helpu Back2Front Physiotherapy Ltd i fuddsoddi mewn Dadansoddwr Cyfansoddiad Corff InBody newydd — yn cefnogi twf busnes, cadw cwsmeriaid a chynnig ehangach dros iechyd a lles.
Mae'r offer newydd bellach yn rhan o broses adolygu nod 90 diwrnod Back2Front, gan helpu cleientiaid i ddilyn cynnydd ystyrlon y tu hwnt i bwysau a BMI yn unig.

Effaith?
✅ Gwasanaeth newydd wedi'i ychwanegu at y busnes
✅ Cadw cwsmeriaid wedi gwella
✅ Llif refeniw ychwanegol
✅ Swyddi wedi'u cynnal a'u cefnogi
✅ Trosiant a elw wedi cynyddu
✅ Sylfeini cryfach ar gyfer twf yn y dyfodol

Dywedodd Back2Front bod y cyllid wedi helpu iddynt barhau i esblygu o fusnes ffisiotherapy i wasanaeth iechyd a lles ehangach.
"𝘎𝘢𝘭𝘭 𝘣𝘶𝘥𝘥𝘴𝘰𝘥𝘥𝘪𝘢𝘥 𝘣𝘢𝘤𝘩 𝘺𝘯 𝘦𝘪𝘤𝘩 𝘣𝘶𝘴𝘯𝘦𝘴 𝘸𝘯𝘦𝘶𝘥 𝘨𝘸𝘢𝘩𝘢𝘯𝘪𝘢𝘦𝘵𝘩 𝘮𝘢𝘸𝘳 𝘪'𝘤𝘩 𝘪𝘯𝘤𝘸𝘮. 𝘔𝘢𝘦 𝘎𝘳𝘰𝘯𝘧𝘢 𝘊𝘺𝘮𝘶𝘯𝘦𝘥𝘰𝘭 𝘗𝘺𝘊 𝘺𝘯 𝘨𝘸𝘯𝘦𝘶𝘥 𝘺 𝘣𝘶𝘥𝘥𝘴𝘰𝘥𝘥𝘪𝘢𝘥 𝘣𝘢𝘤𝘩 𝘩𝘸𝘯 𝘺𝘯 𝘣𝘰𝘴𝘪𝘣𝘭, 𝘴𝘺𝘥𝘥 𝘸𝘦𝘥𝘪 𝘢𝘨𝘰𝘳 𝘤𝘺𝘮𝘢𝘪𝘯𝘵 𝘰 𝘥𝘥𝘳𝘺𝘴𝘢𝘶 𝘢𝘳 𝘨𝘺𝘧𝘦𝘳 𝘵𝘸𝘧 𝘣𝘶𝘴𝘯𝘦𝘴."

Mae hyn yn enghraifft wych o sut mae ariannu PyC yn cefnogi busnesau lleol i amrywio, tyfu ac greu effaith barhaol yn eu cymunedau.

𝐎𝐧𝐞 𝐨𝐟𝐟 𝐟𝐮𝐧𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠:
Not every community project needs ongoing funding. Sometimes all it takes is one grant to turn a good idea into something that makes a real difference.
At Pen y Cymoedd Community Fund, we can support one-off funding for projects that deliver real benefits for our local communities.

This could include:
✓ Community events
✓ New activities or workshops
✓ Short-term initiatives
✓ Equipment for a specific project
✓ Pilot ideas you’d like to test

Whether it’s a wellbeing event, a local celebration, a one-day workshop or a new activity for local people, one-off funding could help make it happen.

𝐀𝐫𝐢𝐚𝐧𝐧𝐮 𝐮𝐧 𝐠𝐰𝐚𝐢𝐭𝐡:
Nid yw gan bob prosiect cymunedol angen cyllid parhaus. Weithiau, dim ond un grant sydd ei angen i droi syniad da yn rhywbeth sy'n gwneud gwahaniaeth go iawn. Yn Gronfa Gymunedol Penycymoedd, gallwn gefnogi cyllid un-amser ar gyfer prosiectau sy'n dod â manteision gwirioneddol i'n cymunedau lleol.

Gallai hyn gynnwys:
✓ Digwyddiadau cymunedol
✓ Gweithgareddau neu weithdai newydd
✓ Menter tymor byr
✓ Offer ar gyfer prosiect penodol
✓ Syniadau peilot yr hoffech eu profi

P'un ai digwyddiad lles, dathliad lleol, gweithdy un diwrnod neu weithgaredd newydd i bobl leol, gallai cyllid un-amser helpu i'w gwireddu.

Black Mountains College and Down to Earth Project have now completed the next stage of work exploring the potential for a new 𝐓𝐫𝐞𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐛𝐞𝐫𝐭 𝐄𝐝𝐮𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐂𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐫𝐞 with funding support from PyC.

This phase focused on deep engagement with local people and organisations — listening to community priorities, understanding how the building could serve local needs, and exploring what kinds of learning, skills and wellbeing activities could be delivered in Treherbert in the future.

Based on early engagement and the project brief, the emerging vision includes transforming this community building to support potential delivery in areas such as:

> Climate‑ready skills and green jobs training
> Creative and craft‑based learning, building on local heritage

Our investment has enabled the partnership to undertake this foundational work — ensuring the project is grounded in local voices, climate‑ready principles, and realistic feasibility and we will continue to share updates as the project develops with the community at its heart.

Mae Black Mountains College a Down to Earth Project bellach wedi cwblhau’r cam nesaf o’r gwaith sy’n archwilio’r potensial ar gyfer 𝐂𝐚𝐧𝐨𝐥𝐟𝐚𝐧 𝐀𝐝𝐝𝐲𝐬𝐠 𝐓𝐫𝐞𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐛𝐞𝐫𝐭 newydd, gyda chymorth ariannol gan PyC.

Canolbwyntiodd y cam hwn ar ymgysylltu’n ddwfn â phobl a sefydliadau lleol — gan wrando ar flaenoriaethau’r gymuned, deall sut y gallai’r adeilad wasanaethu anghenion lleol, ac archwilio pa fathau o weithgareddau dysgu, sgiliau a llesiant y gellid eu darparu yn Nhreherbert yn y dyfodol.

Yn seiliedig ar yr ymgysylltu cynnar a briff y prosiect, mae’r weledigaeth sy’n dod i’r amlwg yn cynnwys trawsnewid yr adeilad cymunedol hwn i gefnogi darpariaeth bosibl mewn meysydd megis:

> Sgiliau sy’n barod ar gyfer yr hinsawdd a hyfforddiant ar gyfer swyddi gwyrdd
> Dysgu creadigol a chrefftau, gan adeiladu ar dreftadaeth leol

Mae ein buddsoddiad wedi galluogi’r bartneriaeth i gyflawni’r gwaith sylfaenol hwn — gan sicrhau bod y prosiect wedi’i seilio ar leisiau lleol, egwyddorion sy’n barod ar gyfer yr hinsawdd, a dichonoldeb realistig. Byddwn yn parhau i rannu diweddariadau wrth i’r prosiect ddatblygu, gyda’r gymuned wrth galon y gwaith.

We’re pleased to award Glynneath Heritage Arts and Visitors Centre (Glynneath Community Centre) with £6,000 for a feasibility study at Bethania Chapel in Glynneath.

The project will explore how the historic chapel space can be brought back into safe community use for arts, heritage and events—helping unlock its full potential for local people.

Rydym yn falch o ddyfarnu £6,000 i Ganolfan Gelfyddydau, Treftadaeth ac Ymwelwyr Glyn-nedd ar gyfer astudiaeth ddichonoldeb yng Nghapel Bethania, Glyn-nedd.

Bydd y prosiect yn archwilio sut y gellir dod â’r gofod capel hanesyddol yn ôl i ddefnydd cymunedol diogel ar gyfer y celfyddydau, treftadaeth a digwyddiadau — gan helpu i ddatgloi ei botensial llawn er budd pobl leol.
