ONLY TWELVE DAYS LEFT! THE BABINGTON CENTRE NEEDS YOU!
The Trellech community “use it or lose it” campaign
The Village Hall is here for you!
Sadly, the Village Hall, Babington Centre, Hub, call it what you will, is not being used enough which places its future in jeopardy.
Babington’s Charity has been at the heart of the Trellech Community since 1689, but now that the Busy Bodies Playgroup have relocated to the school, there is very little use of our hall and we may therefore need to close it in the near future.
We have Yoga classes on a Monday night, Tango classes once a month and ‘Mad Science’ utilise the space in the school holidays. It needs to be used more to remain a sustainable charity.
The Babington Centre is looking for Volunteers.
Are you willing to contribute a couple of hours a month to give something back to the community so that our village hall can continue and prosper for the whole community to enjoy? If so, please get in touch!
Please put your heads together to encourage children's parties, events and regular clubs and societies to use this fantastic space. The last thing we wish to do is close the building due to lack of use, or due to the lack of interest of any potential local volunteers.
Would someone like to set up a Flicks in the Sticks club? – would make a perfect venue. Also in the past we have had wine tasting evenings, quiz nights, Pilates, Zumba etc etc – we just need them back to thrive as a village hall.
If you would like to share any ideas or if you wish to join the Trustees or volunteer in any way – please respond to this Facebook post below.
We need your help to save the hall as soon as possible, as a decision on its future will be made by 31st March 2026.
