At our next meeting on Thursday 11th June Tony Griffiths, local film maker, will be showing the film about Bernard Willems. Bernard Willems, aged 95, has had a varied and adventurous life, from being buried alive for four days to painting a portrait of the current King of Belgium. Today Bernard works from his studio in Prestatyn from which he runs the Willems Fine Art Academy, where he gives art master classes, free of charge, to anyone who wishes to attend.
Tony Griffiths has made the film using local people as actors, playing refugees and German soldiers, and it was filmed in Denbigh, Prestatyn and Rhyl.
Meeting starts at 7.00pm at the Village Hall.
New members always welcome.

This appeared on Facebook. I believe it is the 80th Anniversary of Trefnant WI back in 1995. The only person I recognise is Mary Evans on the left of the photo. Can anyone name any of the other ladies?

Our next meeting will be on Thursday 14th May at 7.00pm in the Village Hall.

This month we will be discussing the resolutions going forward to the Annual meeting in Aberystwyth in June. Following this we invite members to 'Show and Tell' any craft work they have recently undertaken or are in the process of making -OR -they can bring an item or photo with an attached story to tell.

We would love to have some new members. Two WI groups in the area have closed in recent months but we continue to keep Trefnant going as it was the second to be formed in the UK after Llanfair PG back in 1915. Please message if you would like further details.

At our next meeting on Thursday 9th April Clwyd Wynne will give a talk on the history of the old Butter Market in Denbigh and the surrounding area.It now houses the town museum and the cafe, Tu Mundo.

At our next meeting on Thursday 12th March we have guest speaker Sian Jones who will be representing Denbigh Food Bank to explain the scheme and how it works.
Meetings are held in Trefnant Village Hall and start at 7.00pm.

At the next meeting, on Thursday 12th February, we will have Graham Edwards return as guest speaker for a third installment of his talks on the first Welsh community in Patagonia.
The meeting is held at Trefnant Village Hall and starts at 7.00pm.
We always welcome ladies to come along for a couple of talks with a view to eventually becoming a member.

Happy new year to all our followers! 🎉

We have no meeting in January but are out to lunch at Faenol Fawr instead. At the February meeting on 12th February our guest speaker will be Graham Edwards with a further installment of his talks on the Welsh people in Patagonia.

To mark our 110th birthday we are planting 110 daffs in the village and donating 110 items to the Food Bank in Denbigh.
