Love Ormiston Park? We need YOU to help it grow! 🌳✨

If you’ve enjoyed a family day at the play park, a lap around the pump track, or a quiet walk through our beautiful green spaces, you’ve seen the work of the Friends of Ormiston Park (FOOP) in action.

For years, our small team of volunteers has worked behind the scenes to secure funding, maintain our award-winning Green Flag status, and bring new facilities like the sports pavilion to our village. But to keep the momentum going, we need fresh ideas and new voices!

Why join the Committee?

Have your say: Help decide the future projects and improvements for the park.

Community Spirit: Work alongside a friendly group of locals who care about making Ormiston a better place to live.

Make a real impact: From organising events to securing grants for new equipment, your contribution will be seen and used by hundreds of people every day.

We aren't looking for "experts"—just people with a little bit of time and a lot of heart. Whether you’re a parent, a regular dog walker, or a local business owner, your perspective is exactly what we need.

Find out more:

Drop us a message -we’d love to have a chat about how you can get involved!

Let’s keep Ormiston Park the heart of our community. 💚

This is to show everyone who visits our park just how AMAZING it is!!! 🎉🌹🌹🥳

Friends of Ormiston Park are delighted to share that we have received a Green Flag Community Award for 2025/26, recognising it as one of the country’s best managed green spaces and currently the only park in East Lothian to hold this status.
Our park assessment was held during volunteer week in June and was supported by Ormiston Blooms Together and Lily’s Ormiston CIC demonstrating the community collaboration between the groups.

We would like to thank everyone who has contributed their time, energy and commitment into making Ormiston Park the place it has become and to the continued support of East Lothian Council to further improve and develop the landscape and environment of the park. This award is for everyone who volunteers, visits and experiences the great outdoor space, facilities and nature that the park has to offer!
