🐿️ The 2026 All-Ireland Squirrel & Pine Marten Survey is live! 🌲

To mark , we've teamed up with University of Galway and Vincent Wildlife Trust to launch this all-island citizen science survey. We're calling on people across Ireland to help track red squirrels, grey squirrels and pine martens throughout 2026.

Supported by the National Biodiversity Data Centre and CEDaR, the survey will help build a vital picture of how these iconic species are faring across the island.

Katy Bell, Senior Conservation Officer at Ulster Wildlife, said: "We've been monitoring these three species for over a decade in Northern Ireland and are delighted to partner once again with the University of Galway to complete the picture on how these species are faring across Ireland. This data will be invaluable to the conservation work for red squirrel and pine marten in Ireland.”

👉 Get involved, become a citizen scientist, and record your sightings throughout the year👉 https://loom.ly/EXy8LCI
