Following 6 weeks of closure of the TVC site due to restrictions imposed as a response to COVID-19, work was resumed on Monday May 11th in accordance with Government guidance and following best practice as provided by the Construction Leadership Council. .
The Tove Valley Centre (TVC) will be a new community facility located on Northampton Road between the new SNC car park and the 'Shires' housing development in Towcester. It will be built on 2.2 acres of land designated for a community facility in the original development planning agreement. The Tove Valley Centre will be the home of Tove Valley Baptist Fellowship as well as a community facility available for hire on a regular or occasional basis by individuals, families groups and organisations.
Tove Valley Centre is a project of Tove Valley Baptist Fellowship (TVBF) which is a Charitable Incorporated Organisation (CIO). TVBF is also a Registered Charity
Plans for the Tove Valley Centre were modified in early 2019 following discussions with representatives from the local community. The modified pans are designed to ensure that the building meets the needs of both the church and the community.
On 5th September 2019, South Northants Council’s Planning Committee unanimously agreed to grant planning permission for the new design build.
In February 2020 a local, reputable Construction Company with 80 years experience in the business was appointed in respect of building the Tove Valley Centre.
On Monday 9th March 2020 the site was handed over to Steele and Bray Limited, Chartered Building Contractors of Northampton. The work to build the Tove Valley Centre began!

A flexible, multi-purpose hall, equipped with modern audio-visual facilities, seating up to 180 people
Entrance foyer and display areas
Fully equipped commercial kitchen
3/4 separate meeting/activity rooms
Creche facilities
Centre office
The development will include:
Vehicle and pedestrian access from Northampton Road
Footpath access from Surtees Way
Hedging to screen neighbours
Landscaped grounds
Outdoor play area
Parking for 29 cars with additional parking in the adjacent car park
