St George’s Day Parade – Lyndhurst | 26th April

It’s that time of year again when we dust off our uniforms, straighten our scarves, and come together to celebrate St George’s Day in true Scouting style! It’s been a while since we last did this as a district which makes it all the more special and important.
For Eling Sea Scouts, the District Parade in Lyndhurst on 26th April isn’t just another date in the diary, it is a chance to show off as the campfire chant goes “who we are where we come from” and indeed what we’re all about. From our brilliant Beavers right through to our seasoned leaders, this is one of the few times we all stand side by side as one big Scouting family.
It’s about pride, belonging, and a little bit of that “look how smart we all are” feeling too!
We’ll be joining other groups from across the District, flying the flag for Eling and showing the community the spirit, teamwork, and adventure that makes Scouting so special.
So whether it’s your very first parade or your 20th, we want to see everyone there, smiling, smart, and ready to represent.
Let’s march proud, stand tall, and make Eling Sea Scouts shine!

A massive congratulations to Peter on his county commissioners award.
On what was an amazing day for the group.
I cannot thank all those that came out and helped today enough. A fantastic team effort from the young and not so young anymore to tidy our environs and Toms garden. And some sterling work inside too. We even found a meeting room.
Well done team Eling and thank you all for your support

Breaking news

Rumour has it… with the Donkey Derby on 16th May fast approaching, one very determined capybara just couldn’t wait to get started

After their now-famous great escape, this cheeky character has apparently swapped life at the zoo for the thrill of the race track… and has been spotted in secret training with the donkeys!

Witnesses say they’ve been practising sprints, perfecting their riding style, and even working on their “game face” all in preparation to take the Donkey Derby by storm.
Will they make it to the starting line?
Will the donkeys cooperate?
And most importantly… will anyone manage to catch them before race day?
One thing’s for certain — this year’s Donkey Derby is going to be wild.

🦅✨They’re Back by Popular Demand! ✨🦅

We’re excited to announce that Liberty’s Owl, Raptor & Reptile Centre will be returning to this year’s Donkey Derby with their amazing falconry display!
