Come and join the fun of the market 10-12 tomorrow at The Courtroom, Staverton (behind the Sea Trout Inn).

Lots of stalls - sourdough bread, cakes, flowers, vegetables, apple juice, cards, prints, artwork, jewellery, seeds, knitwear, honey and other preserves, books, homewares, Sustainable Staverton, a raffle and of course fantastic breakfasts from the cafe!

YEALM COMMUNITY ENERGY : why develop community solar ?
Sustainable Staverton invites you to a talk by Peter Brown, the Chairman of Yealm Community Energy(YCE).

Peter will talk about how two solar farms have been developed in the Yealm valley for community benefit, with parishioners able to become members for a pound. They will be able to purchase shares, with preference to locals, as soon as ownership is transferred from Community Owned Renewable Energy (CORE) to YCE, hopefully spring next year. for environmental, community and education projects. Peter will also talk about the benefits of recycling the cash generated by selling electricity into a community benefit fund.
