Found a beautiful well and enclosure that once had a hermit cell as did our well at Windy Cross. It's the ancient well at St Seiriol's Priory Church on Anglesey and I suspect it's the reason their is a Priory there.

It was very special visiting the Swallowhead Spring close to Silbury Hill Avebury today. Made me feel more energised to get our well open.
We have been very busy recently and not been able to think about the well house but hope to give the opening my attention soon. Thank you for your patience πŸ™

Had our first meeting last night to discuss opening the well houseβš’οΈ. Expect to see some activity over the coming months.πŸ™
Question: anyone got any memories or pictures of the well house when it was open? We would love to have some idea of what to expect.πŸ€”

Spent a few hours with Torrington Rotary Club members discussing ideas and a way forward in opening up the well. Rotary are a force for good in the town and work hard in our community so we are thrilled to have their support when we need itπŸ’ͺ. We were given some really good ideas and possible contacts to help us along. Thank you Rotary.😁

Tonight we welcomed Matt and Angela who spoke about their plans to open the well at Windy Cross in Great Torrington. It was extremely interesting to hear of the history of the well. We look forward to hearing more from Matt and Angela, their plans are for this to be a fantastic community project!

Update:- TDC have asked for a slight delay before they make a decision. I believe I should know end of next week. They were just unsure as to what and where I was going to open the well house up. So I sent this picture to illustrate it clearly.

A short video showing how Newton St' Petrock has rediscovered their own holy well. It's bringing together the community there as they rediscover what was once lost. The unearthing of the well is helping them find out how their village fits into the larger sacred landscape. I hope we can do the same with Windy Cross well here in Torrington. This is a better quality video than the last upload.

When I go to Glastonbury I love to drink the water from The White Spring. The White Spring is community owned and can be the model we follow for Windy Cross Well. I really hope, one day, people will stop at Windy Cross Well to drink it's water.🀞🏻
