Some great things to do for 10-18 year olds in the area.

🌟 Plough the Future 🌟is our free youth council for young people aged 10-18 years old. The group meets around once a month/every two months.

Young people learn about the workings of an arts centre; meeting staff, doing work experience, and putting on events outside of PYT.

The group engages in activities such as:

Events management
Marketing
Fundraising
Graphic Design
Visual Communication
Representing the Plough at local events

This year, we have various events and projects to work on, including:

- A Pop Up Book Shop
- ⁠The Masquerade Ball
- ⁠The Melting Pot (music festival)
- ⁠Evaluating PYT sessions
- ⁠PYT Merch
- ⁠PYT Magazine
- ⁠Social Media Takeover

Meetings take place after school hours on days depending on everyone’s availability. Whilst the programme is free, we do ask for a good level of commitment ☺️

Torrington foodbank is open on Tuesdays and Saturdays from 10.00am till 12.00 at the Baptist Church New St Torrington.
It is available to those in need who live in and near Great Torrington. If you need help just come along when we are open. (Nb It is helpful if you can bring carrier bags).

A gripping and disturbing exploration of survival, fear and human nature. As isolation gives way to chaos, this powerful and thought provoking theatrical retelling asks unsettling questions about society, morality and leadership that resonates with audiences today.

Presented by an exceptional cast from the acclaimed Plough Youth Theatre.
