Thanks to the kind donors who bought these bits for a child in need from our wish list.
They were picked up by the social worker today and along with a big bag of branded uniform will help this child into school feeling smart and ready for his first day. ❤️

Last minute appeal
We’re currently in need of black school trousers and white school shirts in age 14-15 years for a pupil due to start school next week.
If you have any spare that you could donate we’d really appreciate them.

Unfortunately we’ll be closing at 1pm today (Friday 28th August) due to a shortage of volunteers.

We’re currently extremely short of volunteers after three valued team members moved on to paid work or stepped back for health reasons.

VOLUNTEERS WANTED – RETAIL SALES ASSISTANTS

We’re looking for some brilliant new volunteers to join the team at our Punk Against Poverty shop in St Marychurch, Torquay 🖤

We’re particularly looking for people who already have some work or volunteering experience behind them and can hit the ground running in our busy little shop.

You’ll be helping with:

Serving and assisting customers
Welcoming and accepting donations
Sorting and putting out stock
Keeping the shop clean, tidy and looking great
General day-to-day shop duties

We’re looking for people who are friendly, confident, reliable and proactive, people who are happy to get stuck in and be part of the team.

Applicants must be 18+ due to safeguarding requirements.

Flexible shifts available.

Every shift you give us helps keep our shop running and raises vital funds to support local people experiencing poverty.

1 in 3 children in Torbay are growing up in poverty.

We’re the local organisation helping them.

We provide children and families across Torbay with:

• Free school uniform so children can go to school with what they need
• Laptops so they aren’t excluded from learning
• Beds so children have somewhere safe and comfortable to sleep
• Shoes and clothing when families simply can’t afford them
• Outfits for school proms so young people can take part without feeling left out
• Toys so children don’t have to go without
• Gift cards at Christmas to help families give their children something special
• Essential household appliances like washing machines and cookers when families are in crisis

Every week, families in our community turn to Punk Against Poverty because they have nowhere else to go.

But we can only keep doing this with your help.

Help us keep helping Torbay’s children.
