This page has been created to co-ordinate fundraising, community, businesses, sports associations and council to rejuvenate outdoor sports areas in Torbay starting with the basketball courts at Victoria Park, Paignton and Upton Park, Lymington Road, Torquay.

BUT it’s not just about the basketball courts, following the successful completion of these two areas we intent to rejuvenate out ‘Multi Use Sports areas’, this is a campaign for everyone to be able to enjoy our outdoor spaces post-Covid!

Both are great areas, but could do with some rejuvenation, and covid has demonstrated how much we need these outside areas and how we can boost the area for all of us.

I am the Chair of the Exeter & District Basketball Association, born and bred in Torbay, and have served my community for over 30 years either in paid employment or as a volunteer and am well aware of how sport can boost individuals and the community.

I want an area that we can be proud of and as such have set up a 'Crowdfunding' page, plus started liaison with different facets of society that can assist with funding the improvements needed - I know London is bigger, but why can Hendon and the beach resort of Brighton make the improvements to their facilities and we can't - with all your help we can make an area we can be proud of.
