Spring tides this week- they come round fast !!
It’s still wet out there, but not as bad & can’t see anything to worry about this week 🙏It’ll soon be nicer, promise😎🤪

Fairly calm this morning, overtopping at Trouts onto Ferry Road. The rec is still saturated and lots of it under water.
Will keep an eye on conditions for this evening and tomorrow morning’s tides. But not expecting anything more than overtopping🤞

Spring tides this week !
With the rivers swollen and more rain on the way, we are keeping a close eye on things- in particular Tues morning.
As it stands, no more than overtopping in the usual places, but many are keeping flood boards up as a precaution.

Well what a start to 2026 !!! How many storms have we had already ?😳🫣
With the waves and tides now behaving themselves on the Exe, we were able to relocate the sandbags needed last weekend, to Fishers Bridge Mill which helped keep the Clyst out of the property.
I don’t think I’ve seen so much water here.
Lots of people have helped these last few days - those with brooms & stamina have been particularly welcome 🤣👌

Much calmer tonight after Storm Ingrid.
Thanks Flood Wardens & Residents for all your help over the last 24hrs.
Think Topsham got off very lightly ! Although flooding down the Clyst has led to impassable roads by The Bridge Inn & Darts Farm, causing a fair bit of disruption!
Remember, keep out of flood waters !

Storm Ingrid is making her presence known !
Saturday morning high tide is 10am and we are expecting more of the same !

Flood wardens will be around before 9am if you need a hand with any flood boards etc.

Stay Safe and keep off the Goat Walk and other roads whilst under water.

Please do not drive through flooded roads, it causes problems for houses along the roadside.

It’s still wild out there and will be for the next few days. Take care when using the goat walk as it will be underwater each high tide for the next couple of days.
Flood warnings have been issued for south west estuaries. I think we will continue to have overtopping but hopefully not much more.
The far end of the Rec’ is underwater, everything saturated. But it is January !🤣 let’s hope we get all the rain now to fill those reservoirs, ready for a nice warm summer 😎We can dream, can’t we ?

If anyone has any concerns re flooding etc, do get in touch.
Also a reminder to contact Devon Coubty Council if any drains are blocked.

Morning all !!
A breezy one at that !
With wind and rain most of the day today, tomorrow morning’s 4m high tide at 8:17 may cause some overtopping- hopefully nothing more ?
There is a predicted surge of 0.4m out at sea and winds directing it straight up the Exe, so we will monitor the ongoing forecast and let you know if any change.

Spring tides this week !
We have some pretty windy spells heading straight up the estuary.
Overtopping during high tides is very much a possibility- so anyone living in these areas, we recommend popping your flood defences up.
We will keep an eye on the forecast & let you know if things look any worse than that.

Storm Amy !
We’ve been keeping a close eye on this and luckily for the South West, it’s shifted further North. It does not coincide with our high tides, but if you’re concerned about any overtopping, then please pop your flood boards up.
