Meet Catarina!

🩵 This sweet girl is looking for a peaceful home to nap and watch the world go by….

Catarina loves to curl up into a cardboard box (😂) or on someone’s lap and have a snooze. She also likes to venture outside to explore here and there.

This little lady is dreaming of a peaceful home with kind, patient humans. She’d like to be the only cat in the house — she’s all about that quiet, cosy life.

If you think that Catarina is the right cat for you then apply to adopt her below!

🩵 Please share this post so Catarina can find her forever home!

PLEASE SHARE FAR AND WIDE

🐰 Thinking about fostering a Rabbit? You could change a life

Rabbits are the UK’s most misunderstood pets — and thousands end up in rescue/rehoming every year through no fault of their own. By becoming a foster carer, you give a rabbit a safe, loving space while they wait for their forever home. It’s one of the most impactful ways to help.

You can learn more about fostering and apply here: https://volunteer.bluecross.org.uk/opportunities/results =&display=grid&geojson=&include=image&lat=54.1948819&limit=14&lon=-1.4022449&o=asc&page=1&public_search=true&radius=15&role_title=foster&s=distance&search=YO7+3SE%2C+Thirsk%2C+North+Yorkshire%2C+England%2C+United+Kingdom&searchOpps=&slots=

Many rabbits arrive scared, shut down, or simply confused after losing the only home they’ve known. Your patience and kindness help them rebuild confidence, learn to trust again, and show their true personalities. You’re not just offering space — you’re offering a second chance.

We provide training, and all your expenses are fully covered, so you can enjoy the love of a pet without the cost. From food and bedding to vet care, everything is taken care of.

Fostering is flexible enough to fit into your life. Whether you work full‑time, travel occasionally, or need a break, you can pause fostering at any time.

And you’re never on your own. You’ll have your own dedicated Foster Coordinator, supporting you every step of the way.

A foster home can transform a rabbit’s future. You help them feel safe, learn routines, and show adopters who they really are. It’s a small act with a huge ripple effect.

If you’ve ever thought about helping an animal in need, fostering a rabbit is a beautiful place to start.

Meet Lily — the little fighter with the biggest heart 💛

Sweet Lily has been through quite a journey since coming into our care, and throughout it all she has remained an affectionate girl.

Shortly after arriving, Lily underwent extensive dental treatment. She had seven teeth extracted, and our vet also discovered that she had already lost another seven teeth prior to coming into our care. Her recovery took a little more time than usual, with her developing a dental infection and inappetence. She received plenty of love and TLC from the team who helped nurse her back to health. Since her dental work, Lily has developed a particular fondness for tasty pâté-style foods and Cat soups, which she thoroughly enjoys at mealtimes.

Once she had recovered from her dental procedure, Lily unfortunately became unwell with pyometra, a serious infection of the uterus. She required emergency spay surgery, and once again Lily took everything in her stride while our team provided lots of cuddles, careful monitoring and support during her recovery.

We are delighted to say that Lily has now been signed off by our veterinary team following both her dental treatment and spay surgery. She is ready to find a loving new home where she can continue to enjoy the kindness, comfort and affection she has come to adore while in our care.

Lily is looking for a special family who will appreciate the resilient and loving little tough cookie she is.

Pets like Lily remind us of the importance of regular veterinary care and preventative treatment. Neutering female cats not only helps to reduce unwanted litters and pet overpopulation, but it also protects them from developing serious health conditions, such as pyometra, which can require emergency surgery and intensive treatment.
