We are excited to say that this is our first Charity Shop, we opened on the 22nd July 2015. Our Welsh Hearts Chairty Shop is located in Tonypandy Square, if your in the area feel free to come along and see what we offer and have a chat with out friendly volunteers who are always happy to help. We are working on the saving young lives in Welsh schools going into all Secondary and Primary schools in Wales teaching CPR and Defibrillator training and basic first aid training for younger pupils 4,500 people have been taught CPR skills, we are also working with The WRU on our Saving Lives in Welsh Rugby Clubs. We have a Team of around 200 amazing Doctors, Nurses, Paramedics and First Responders led by Dr Gareth Roberts who give up their free time to support us. In Wales there are approximately 8000 sudden cardiac arrests outside hospital each year. It’s shocking that the survival rate is only 3%. Where an AED or Defibrillator is used, the survival rate is 47 %. We have also launched The RCT 100 Dai Fib appeal to get Defibrillators and training into the whole of the Rhondda Cynon Taf. In just a year we have funded 160 Defibrillators throughout Wales.
