⚽️After a couple of years in the making, we are delighted to share that the Tonbridge PAN Disability Football Team has officially played its very first tournament.
This is a fantastic milestone and one that would not have been possible without the support of the Tonbridge Foundation and staff at the Tonbridge Angels FC working in partnership with the Oaks football fanatics to make an accessible football team for everyone in the community, all who helped to get the team up and running and supported our vision of creating an accessible local football team that is open to everybody in the community.
Together, we have helped create an opportunity that we hope will be available for years to come, giving our young adults a chance to participate in competitive sport, develop friendships, build confidence and be part of something that can last a lifetime.
The first fixture came together at very short notice, so I would like to give a particularly big well done to Miles, Adam, Kye and Marcus for proudly becoming the first ever Tonbridge players to represent the team in competition.
The matches were highly competitive, and the team rose brilliantly to the challenge. To top it all off, they secured an excellent victory against Charlton, making the day even more memorable.
This is just the beginning of what we hope will be a long and successful journey for the team. Thank you again to everyone who has played a part in making this happen.
