Connect Housing, Calder Valley CLT and the Todmorden Town Board have worked in partnership to build an exciting new mixed-use development in Todmorden in the upper Calder Valley.
The houses will meet Passive House Institute Low Energy Building standards, helping residents to be warm and comfortable, and at the same time reducing their energy bills and their impact on the environment.
Tod Works has been designed with sustainability at its heart, incorporating features to lower its impact on flooding, improve biodiversity and reduce its carbon impact.
On the open day, which is being run in conjunction with the Passive House, you'll have the opportunity to be given a tour of one of these homes.
There will also be an opportunity for a tour of TodWorks, courtesy of Calder Valley CLT.
Tod Works is a 23-office community owned building, funded by UK Government, that provided the springboard to add 19 social rented homes to the development. The homes are funded by Connect Housing and Homes England.
Whether you’re curious about building your own Passive House, planning a retrofit, or simply want to experience the difference good design makes, this is your chance to see real projects in action and speak directly with the people who build them.
If you are able to attend, please book via Eventbrite so we can make the necessary arrangements.
