OUR NEW SPACE! So excited to be welcoming young folks for the next two weeks. 11-16 year olds in Tod COME 😍

Where? 📍Shurrock Farm, Todmorden

When? 🗓️ Mon - Thur 1-5pm for the next two weeks!

Cost? 💲 FREE if on FSM, £5 per day if not

Includes foooood and all the fun you’ve come to expect from the magic that is EC.

Meet each day at 12.30 at the Golden Lion if you wanna walk up together 🙃

EC is beyond resilient 🤣

What a crazy week we’ve had.

The storm destroyed our set up and big marquee style tent so we’ve had to think fast & thank goodness we’ve found a new venue to continue an awesome summer of FUN.

We are so sorry for the chaos and if the message didn’t land with anyone. We were battling the storm and trying to rescue our stuff.

Today we are in Tod Park, with food provided as always and a day of games, chillin and funtimes. Arrive at 1pm and we will finish up at 5pm ✨

We won’t be around Mon & Tue as we will be setting up our new site.

From next Wed 13th we are at our new venue 🥳

You can meet us there at 1pm (message us for the location) or we will be walking up from the Golden Lion carpark at 12.30. Lunch as always will be provided!

🗓️ The dates of our provision from next week are:

Wed 13th Aug
Thurs 14th Aug
Then Mon 18th - Thurs 21st Aug
Mon 25th - Thurs 28th Aug

1pm-5pm every day.

And this time, we’re going wild!

🗓️ Monday 11th – Thursday 14th August
🗓️ Monday 18th – Thursday 21st August

⏰ 1:00–5:00pm each day

Come for a few days or the whole summer!
📍 Meet at The Golden Lion pub at 12:30pm for a group walk or 📍 Join us on site at 1:00pm (we’ll send the exact location when you book on)

We have the land, a huge tent, a gazebo and FOOD and will eat when we first land!

Ps make sure your young person has the right clothes and shoes for some outdoor adventurin’!

What a day! What a pleasure it was to speak at University of the Third Age in Todmorden about the adventure playground we at Esteemed are campaigning to bring to the town 🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻

There’s so much resistance to teenage representation & culture in our communities. Instead of resisting it, why don’t we hand over some of our community space to them and see what happens?

That’s the plan for our town of Todmorden but we need help!

Reflecting on the past couple of years of the project

Shout out to my sister and comrade Benny Booo 💗

Costeering the ship from the beginning

So many golden moments

From our beginnings with 10 kiddas at Badger Wood

Where we had mad alternative education adventures in our ‘definitely not a school’ provision

To Tod College HAF school holidays mad house camps

Where we’ve welcomed young folk from around 100 families in the area (!)

Alongside our multivenue wild wild wild weekly youth club 😂😂😂

Graffin up and parting at Big Tree

Claiming space and changing public opinion about what teenage energy is and why they deserve space & respect

So many memories created

So many lives touched

And none of the fams had to pay a penny yooooo

AND

It’s only just beginning 🔥

We’ve now got a Casey Fox

And a board of phennnommennaall people

Pouring their magic into the pot

Carrying the vision to the next level

You’re gonna hear lots lots more about EC in the coming weeks

Cos we got a massive vision

And we need YOU to help us make it happen

For the yoof of Tod

And as a transmission for society at large

Letting go of fighting governments and instead starting projects
