Mull and Iona Pantry (food bank) is now closed until Monday 5th January.

We’ve so many people to thank for the generous boxes that have been delivered this week.

Jonathan and Alexia from the Q Charitable Trust have contributed towards the boxes and are ensuring there’s a supply of fresh fruit and vegetables well into the new year. We are so grateful for the grant awarded to us.

Catriona and Rachel from HOPE Kitchen went shopping for gifts and the support they give us all year round is fantastic.

Dugie and the customers at Dervaig Stores are outstanding. The food donations keep coming on a regular basis and it’s much appreciated.

Thank you also to Fiona Brunton of Brunton Consultancy who has provided posh coffee, ‘smellies’ and chocolates and biscuits amongst other items for the Christmas boxes.

There really are so many people to thank, Tobermory Stores, the churches on Mull, The Macquarie Trust, Salen Spar and to all the individuals who drop off food or make donations to the bank account.

Finally, thank you to the volunteers that have helped get the boxes to you in time for Christmas. Peter from Ulva Ferry Community Transport, Helen, Rachel and Ashley. Couldn’t have done this without you.

Thank you to everyone who has recently donated to the food bank. We’ve had big donations from Tobermory Parish Church who also keep us going in tea, coffee and honey. We’ve also received a delivery via Cathie MacLean from Torosay Church and the Spar shop at Craignure.

Dugie, Premier Stores in Dervaig, and his customers are still ensuring we get regular food boxes delivered.

We’ve now received over 171 food boxes from Dougie’s Premier Stores in Dervaig. I know all our customers are very grateful for your continued support.

We’ve had a few treats donated recently too - lovely Island Bakery biscuits and sugar free cans of juice for the children.

We’ve just taken delivery of some lovely fairtrade chutney which has been donated by Tobermory Parish Church. Last month they kindly donated some organic honey which was a real treat for the food bank customers. Thank you to everyone who continues to donate, both food and money. This ensures that our shelves are kept well stocked and we can continue to help anyone who is struggling to feed their families. Thank you all.

The Mull and Iona Pantry food bank will be closing on Friday 20th December and reopening on Tuesday 7th January. If you need an emergency food box within these dates, please contact the number below.

We’d like to thank everyone who supports the food bank, not just now at Christmas, but throughout the year. Your generosity knows no bounds and I know all our customers are so appreciative.

We’re overcome with the recent donations from Salen Church, Tobermory Parish Church and Torosay Church, for the food bank. Thank you all very much for your generosity.

We’ve been over to Oban this week to meet up with Catriona Petit at HOPE Kitchen. She does all our ordering, looks after the finances and ensures our food bank shelves are well stocked. Thanks so much Catriona.

Finally thank you to Andrew Penny at Tobermory Council office who provides a lovely space for us to work and is always happy to open up outside office hours if someone is in need of an emergency box.
