On Thursday 4th June the Tiverton Macular Society Group meet in the old Old Heathcoat School Community Centre at 10am -12 noon
A warm and friendly group for those with visual impairment…New members are most welcome.
The speaker this month is Nina Parnell from AGE UK. Nina gives a very interesting talk on ideas and benefits to those who may be struggling with eye problems.

On Thursday I attended the Cullompton Library to attend the Macular Society Group meeting. It is a very happy group of those with some sort of eye problem. Really welcoming ( as you can see in the photos) by the cups of tea, which I helped Rosaleen make. The speaker was Jo Fishwick she was able to tell everyone of all sorts of developments and answer queries regarding vision.

Doors open at 6:00pm, with a welcome from the Mayor beginning at 6:30pm.

I joined Helen, Philippa, Sonia, Brian, Mike and Bob on Thursday, Library. it was a lovely afternoon talking about the book we listened to last week(Jamaica Inn by Daphne Maurer)It’s a wonderful way to socialise with others who are living with sight loss or other illnesses while rediscovering the enjoyment of books over a cup of tea in a cosy environment.
