Tiverton & District Soroptimists

Tiverton & District Soroptimist Club has closed. While this marks the end of a long chapter of over 60 years, it also gives us a wonderful opportunity to reflect on everything we’ve built together.

What we created wasn’t just a club, it was a Soroptimist community shaped by people who made a difference. Over the years, we’ve promoted Soroptimist Programme Action, supported local community charities and built lifelong friendships, showing what’s possible when Soroptimists come together with purpose and heart.

We would like to thank Sister Soroptimists everywhere and our friends and supporters in the Mid Devon Community. The connections we’ve formed and the sense of belonging we’ve nurtured will continue to live on, long after the club itself closes.

🌱 Looking Ahead
Although this chapter is ending, the community we’ve built remains strong. The relationships, shared history, and friendship links we’ve created together will continue to grow in new ways. Some of our club members continue as Associate Members.

Here’s to 60+ years of achievement and to everything that lies ahead for our wonderful community.

Soroptimist Bristol

We are delighted to share that we’ll be at Bristol City Hall on Saturday 7th March (from 10am-5pm) to celebrate International Women’s Day with Bristol Women’s Voice.

This free event is a wonderful opportunity to meet other organisations that stand up for women, and it’s where you can expect insightful workshops, panels, and a cross-foundation celebration of women’s empowerment, and strengthen partnerships!

Come and find our stall to learn more about what the Soroptimists in Bristol do, and the charities we support. We have provided volunteer service in Bristol for 106 years.

It's our January Club meeting this Wednesday, our first meeting of 2026. We will be planning for the year ahead, not just club meetings, but also outings. Tiverton Soroptimists visited the inspirational Red Dress Exhibition at Killerton House in December and January. Please join us at the Golf Club this Wednesday at 10:30am. DM me for more details. 👏 Smalls for All

We collect brand new pants and new or gently worn bras, which are distributed to adults and children who need them most. The biggest request from the organisations we support is for women’s new black pants in sizes 8 and 10–12.
We’re incredibly grateful for all sizes and colours, and everything we receive is put to good use, but these sizes and styles are always in highest demand.
