Our final update for this years show 😊…….

Income from art, cards, brochure, crafters, preview evening and café meant we were to donate £8000 this year. 🌟👏🏼😍

The main recipient of this donation is Titchfield Community Centre , and we’ve also been able to share the joy with smaller local donations too.

We are very careful to ensure that all monies raised are used well, and to the benefit of local people and communities.

And the eagerly awaited update for the children’s competition 🩵

A message from the competition coordinator- Alison…..

The only problem with so many visitors to the Titchfield Art and Craft Show is the hours it takes me to count the votes in the children’s competition.
This year 783 people voted for their favourite picture!! There was a lovely even spread of votes and every single picture on display was someone’s favourite.

We had a wonderful variety of subjects from pencil drawings of the Titanic to a fabulous pastel bee, and flowers, butterflies, dragons and much more. It was a feast for the eyes.

The quality of the artwork on display was excellent and when you add the ages of the children into the equation (4-11) you know the future of Titchfield Art and Craft Show is in safe hands.

A few highlights for you - the economy has made it tough for everybody, and we know that supporting the arts whilst high on everyone’s to-do list becomes harder and harder when we all have shrinking budgets. We know the cost of living has increased costs of all materials which means that artwork is more expensive this year than it has been in previous years.

We were concerned about how the economy would impact our show and we have seen sales of framed artwork reduce slightly. However, that’s not the whole story, wonderfully we have seen a 20% increase in portfolio sales and a staggering 85% increase in miniature sales.

This meant that together we were able to return over £5000 to the artists in our community. From the bottom of our hearts we thank you for your continued support for the arts and crafts in the Titchfield area.

The amazing winners and highly commended at this year show from across all of the people that entered. I know that some of the judges took a long time to make their decision because yet again the standard of work was truly wonderful. The judges aren’t just looking for the most technically brilliant piece of work, they’re looking for something that speaks to them, that is evocative, that expresses the heart of the artist with maybe a bit of quirk and a bit of fun. You’ll see this by the variety of the pieces that were chosen this year.  (sorry for picture quality 😬)

Before we head off for our summer autumn quiet time we wanted to share some highlights from this year‘s show. It takes the community to put on such an event and we want to start by thanking our sponsors and the people that have helped put together our brochure, banners and new website, and also those that sponsor the awards for the amazing artists. thank you all ###

I can’t believe that only one week ago the team were busy clearing and enjoying a deserved glass or two after the 2026 show. We have our wash up meeting tomorrow evening and after a short break the planning starts for 2027. But tonight, it’s these delightful little sweets gifted from my pal Ros -
and crochet. Hope whatever you are doing, it’s fun xx
