Special Olympics Sandwell Special Olympics Sandwell provides Sport and Leisure Opportunities for local people with Learning Disabilities.

Special Olympics provides year-round sports training and athletic competition in a variety of Olympic-type sports for children & adults with learning disabilities, giving them continuing opportunities to develop physical fitness, demonstrate courage. Experience joy and participate in sharing skills, gifts and friendship with their families & other Special Olympic athletes.

Our 'World Premiere' Special Olympics Sandwell Basketball 🏀 Competition & Mini Shoot out seemed to be a huge success.
NSG National Medals 🏅 were presented by Black Country Basketball Steelers at the Closing Ceremony kindly provided by SOGB.
Starring our top 3 players from our Shoot out and all our other players who tried so hard. Well done everyone! grateful thanks to our Basketball Coach, Volunteers & VIPs & Tipton Sports Academy staff for all your support plus SCVO for this exciting Vision 2030 Project.

Friday was our Awards Evening, awards are presented to our athletes and volunteers for a variety of reasons including achievements, dedication, improvement and being caring and kind.

We had a lovely buffet ( thanks Sue), raffle and danced the night away with a disco ( thanks Jan )

Well done to those won awards and well done to all of our fantastic athletes and volunteers for a fantastic year !
