Success doesn't always look the way social media tells you it should...

Online business culture is obsessed with celebrating "6-figure launches" and "multi-100k turnover."

But as an accountant, I can tell you a secret: Turnover is vanity; profit is sanity; cash flow is peace of mind.

A business turning over £200k with high stress, zero cash reserves, and an unpaid owner is not a success.

A business generating £80k that pays its owner a guaranteed, comfortable salary, covers its tax effortlessly, and allows for 6 weeks of holiday a year is a thriving, lifestyle-first asset.

Let’s stop celebrating busyness and start honouring true financial peace.

Everything changed the day I realised...

During my years as a Corporate Management Accountant, I believed that financial success was purely about spreadsheets, algorithms, and tax compliance. I thought if the math worked, the person behind the business would naturally feel secure.

Then I began coaching female leaders and saw a recurring pattern: brilliant women generating fantastic revenue who were still paralysed by the fear of failure and tax-bill dread.

That was my turning point.

I realised you cannot fix a money mindset problem with a spreadsheet alone.

True financial independence requires bridging practical accounting mechanics with deep mindset transformation.

When I combined accountancy with NLP and TimeLine Therapy, my clients stopped surviving and started thriving.

The biggest thing keeping people stuck isn't what they think...

When your business turnover hits £50k, £100k, or more, it is natural to assume that financial anxiety will vanish. But if every pound lands in one main bank account, higher revenue simply leads to bigger tax surprises and higher-level panic.

As a Management Accountant and Mindset Coach, I can tell you that your thoughts drive your emotions, your emotions drive your actions, and your actions create your bank balance. Belief → Thought → Emotion → Action → Result.

When you shift your internal money story and separate your cash into clear, automated pots (Tax, Operations, CEO Salary, Profit), the background noise stops.

Where are you investing your money in your business?

My image had changed a lot on the last 18 months, long, dark blonde hair to short blue hair.

I needed some updated photos, so I spent the morning with Simon & got some great & fun pics at Banktock Park in Wolverhampton.

More & more people are interested in the person behind the business, so showing yourself off to your audience is a must!

I knew I needed to invest to make this more relevant to who I am & how I look right now.

What financial stress are you under right now?

I’m currently going through a remortgage process. I fixed my rate at 1.74% 5 years ago…

I was chatting with my broker this week, and the best rate I can get is 4.7%, which would double my monthly mortgage payments.

I am not stressed about this; I have been aware that my payments will go up because the interest rates are not the same as they were.

My husband and I have planned and prepared for this.

Cash flow planning is important in all areas of your life, not just in business.

TEDx Wolverhampton 2026 is over!

It’s been two years since I did my talk in 2024!

Yesterdays talks were so incredible, so many big ideas, so many big stories & vulrunability.

I shared in my talk my journey through believing my worth was directly linked to how much money I had.

I know I'm not the only one who has felt this way.

Working through the practicality of your business cashflow as a post VAT registration is the easy bit, the hard part is the behaviour shift that is needed around your money management.
