Ahead of the College Development Network on Thursday, we are highlighting the innovative work behind our nomination in the Innovation and Research category.

For Peat’s Sake was developed by our Environmental Research Institute team in partnership with NatureScot Peatland ACTION. The project addresses Scotland’s need for a skilled workforce to support peatland restoration and climate targets.

More than 40 learners have already completed our new short courses, gaining practical skills that support local contractors and protect fragile landscapes across the north and west. This training is helping communities build a more sustainable future through specialist, in-demand skills.
