Congratulations to Katie and Steven who I married in the bothy at Newtonhill Community Woodland in Wick. Such a sweet venue, it was just perfect for them and held special significance as Katie used to plant trees there with her Dad. So lovely to see those wee saplings growing into beautiful strong trees. Just like Katie and Steven's love will grow even stronger and develop for many years to come I'm sure 😍

House of the Northern Gate is such a stunning venue! High up on a hill overlooking Dunnet Bay, it's always a bit 'fresh' but worth it for the fabulous views and perfect surroundings.
Daisy and Gavin were a joy to work with and I was so delighted to marry them ❤️
Great to work alongside Katie and Kevin too, teamwork makes the dream work 👏 😆

I recently delivered my 100th Celebration of Life ceremony and it is hard to express how privileged I feel to be able to offer this service. Every single one is just as important to me, and I firmly believe that being able to mark the passing of a loved one, in the most appropriate way for them, is an important step in the grieving process. I thought these words from the Good Grief Trust may offer some comfort. Its a wonderful organisation that is there to offer support and advice if you should need it. 😊

Today marks the beginning of 💐 This annual campaign from The Good Grief Trust runs between the 2nd - 8th of December to raise awareness and encourage more open conversations about the impact of grief and loss.

This year's theme is

"Losing a loved one feels like an ending in so many ways, but in time, it can also become the ground from which something new begins. After that loss, we can't go back to who we were, but instead, we can grow into someone new shaped by love, memories, and resilience. This growth doesn’t erase the pain, but it allows hope to return. We may even become more present, more compassionate, more aware of what truly matters in life."
