This week, we were delighted to welcome the British Army to Thurso High School and North Coast Campus where they spent the day engaging with S4, S5 and S6 pupils. π₯
The first half of the sessions gave students an insight into life in the Army. Pupils learned about the different entry routes, career pathways, departments and opportunities available, as well as receiving information on pay, further education and the wide range of spots on offer. It was a fantastic opportunity for students to ask questions and explore potential future options. π¬
In the second half, the focus shifted to practical activities. Pupils were split into two teams and took part in laser clay pigeon shooting, alongside a team-building challenge. They were encouraged to reflect on their performance after their first attempt, assess their skills and teamwork, and then apply what they'd learned to improve during their second attempt. π
