Could you help keep Dumfries & Galloway moving?
Community Transport Dumfries and Galloway (CTDG), supported by Third Sector Dumfries and Galloway (TSDG), is working to strengthen community transport across our region, and we’d love to hear from people and organisations who want to be part of it.
Could you become a volunteer driver?
Volunteer drivers make a huge difference, helping people get to appointments, activities, services and social opportunities when other transport options aren’t available.
Whether you could help regularly or only have a little time to spare, we’d love to hear from you.
Could your organisation become a Community Transport Operator?
We’re also keen to hear from community groups, development trusts, charities and other third sector organisations interested in exploring community transport.
You don’t need to have everything in place already.
If you’ve identified a transport need in your community, or have an idea that could help people get where they need to go, CTDG can help you explore what might be possible.
This could include support around:
- Developing your community transport idea
- Permits and compliance
- Governance and policies
- Volunteer driver recruitment and training
- Funding and vehicles
- Connecting with the wider Community Transport network
Even if it’s only an idea at the moment, we want to hear from you.
Our aim is to grow a strong, sustainable network of community transport across Dumfries & Galloway, particularly in communities where transport can be a barrier to accessing everyday life.
