🌼 Meet Carren Anyango.
At 82, she has spent nearly five decades serving others in Nairobi — working as a domestic worker for 24 straight years, raising her family alone, and contributing to her community with quiet strength and dignity.

Today, Carren faces her final years without a stable home, reliable income, or a family support network. Chronic pain, disability and arthritis have left her unable to work. After a lifetime of caring for others, she now depends entirely on well-wishers for food, rent and basic needs.

This is exactly why IDAK’s Social Protection & Dignified Ageing Programme exists.
They step in to ensure that vulnerable older adults like Carren can access safety, stability and dignity in their final chapter.
But we can’t do it alone.

During Kenya’s National Exams, IDAK Foundation served students at Wasare School a special meal — complete with meat and chapati to fuel their focus and confidence. 🍖🥘
The joy was contagious — students felt valued, parents were grateful, and teachers saw hope shining brighter than ever. 🌟
