Very enjoyable evening last night with Nadya Webster, upholsterer who told us about the techniques she uses and the various stories on the items she has worked on. A very clever lady. A lovely way to spend Thornbirds 16th birthday and a piece of cake of course.

Thank you Thornbury WI for inviting me to talk about upholstery. What a lovely group!

Our next meeting is on Tuesday 17th February when Graham Daynes, who is a prominent figure in the Hearing Dogs community will speak to us about hearing dogs. They have been volunteering with the charity for years, contributing to various initiatives and events. HIs partnership with hearing dog Fidget began in 2015, and as the dog nears retirement, he reflects on the wonderful life he hasenjoyed together. His commitment to the charity and the deaf community is evident through his active participation in fundraising events and his support for the dogs and their partners.
