Your Christmas in Thirsk Guide...
There is SO much to look forward to this weekend. The committee and our fab volunteers and supporters work hard all year to fundraise for and arrange the big Christmas Light Switch-On (and to keep the lights twinkling!).

🎟️ Thirsk Christmas Raffle 🎟️
Our Grand Christmas Raffle is back with cash prizes of £300, £200 and £100 to be won. Tickets are £1 each. You can purchase your tickets during the Christmas Fayre or from Luke Miller & Assoc Estate Agents
🎄 Christmas Lights Switch-On 🎄
The big night is almost here! Join us on Friday 28th November to kick off the Christmas season with Thirsk’s Christmas Lights Switch-On. Here’s what to expect:
5:00 PM - The show begins with live entertainment and festive activities in the Market Place.
6:30 PM - The lights go on!
🎁 Thirsk Christmas Fayre 🎁
Looking for unique gifts or treats for yourself and your home? The Thirsk Christmas Fayre in the Thirsk and Sowerby Town Hall has everything you need for a festive weekend:
Friday 28th November, 4:00 PM - 7:30 PM - Join us for the evening market filled with local crafts, seasonal treats, and Christmas shopping.
Saturday 29th November, 10:00 AM - 4:00 PM - The fayre continues with more stalls, and family-friendly fun.
Enjoy hot food and drinks in the cafe throughout the day on Saturday while you shop.
*At 3pm, on Saturday, the raffle will be called, with cash prizes of £300, £200 and £100 to be won.
🎅 Santa’s Grotto 🎅
Bring the children to meet Santa himself at our cosy grotto. Here’s when and where you can find him:
Saturday, 10:00 AM - 3:00 PM at the Christmas Fayre in the Thirsk and Sowerby Town Hall, children can visit Santa for just £2. This includes a chat with the big man himself and a special gift to take home.
