Wow! What a wonderful Christmas Party this afternoon. We had bingo, music, gorgeous food, mince pies, a raffle and even a visit from the big man in red himself. 🎅 Although the chief elf was having far too much fun she forget to get more photos!
This wouldn't have been possible without the wonderful people of Thirsk coming together to make this happen.
So many thank yous I hope I haven't forgotten anyone.
Johnsons Butchers for the absolutely gorgeous food, Thirsk Rotary for their generous donation to the food, Lisa and Tanya for their kind donation and Helen for the amazing hamper and chocolate favours all from Thirsk British Legion, Zoe from Thirsk community champions for the fantastic donation of mince pies, Mark from Newspan Construction Ltd for his generous donation, Viraj and Jigna from Hambo Shop for their donation of wine for the raffle, Dales Of Thirsk Ltd for the brilliant chopping board for the raffle (a sought after prize every year!) Jill and Jo from Luke Miller & Assoc Estate Agents for their donations to the raffle, Julie for organising and running the very popular tombola, Ian, Malcolm and Linton from Thirsk Bowmen for all of their help today and every time I ask for a favour 😂 today they swapped their bow and arrows for marigolds and dishcloths! To those who have been giving me donations and ringing me with support and finally last but not least Connie Haigh Diane Cassy Gertie Smith you work so hard every month and I can't thank you enough. Along with Jackie, Freddie, Lucas and Niamh you have worked your socks off.
This elf is going to put her feet up. Merry Christmas and see you all in 2026
