Thakeham Community Events

Sadly, we won't be able to host the Halloween fireworks event in Thakeham this year. This is mainly down to a lack of people to help organise it. We're a small group of volunteers and several of our committee members have retired in recent years, so the burden on us is becoming untenable. With a few extra people the time involved is small and easily manageable!

If you want to see community events continue in your village and could spare an hour or two every couple of months, please send us a message.

We hope you all have fun trick-or-treating around the village🎃👻

💙 A huge THANK YOU to everyone who came together to make Thakeham’s Big Summer Bash possible!

From our incredible volunteers who gave up their time to put up marquees and build the site, to the bearded heroes lending their vehicles, the Pulborough Shedders for crafting the stage, and the Rotary for supporting setup — we couldn’t have done it without you.

To our wonderful stallholders and game hosts — thank you for braving the rain and chaos and keeping the fun alive!

It’s never easy pulling off an event like this, especially when the weather had other plans, but with one hand on a marquee pole and the other holding a pint, we stood together and made memories that won’t be forgotten. 🌧🍻💪

Here’s to this amazing community who stuck it out till the bitter, wet, cold end — you are the heart of Thakeham 💙
