🩶 MEET ROCCO – A HANDSOME BOY LEARNING TO TRUST 🩶

Meet Rocco, a beautiful, big handsome boy with a story that might just tug at your heartstrings. 🩶
Rocco hasn’t had the easiest start when it comes to getting to know people.
Born in his previous home, Rocco had very little human interaction after his owner became seriously unwell and spent a long time in hospital. During this time, his contact with people was largely limited to someone coming in to provide food and water.
As a result, Rocco is understandably very frightened of people and hasn’t yet learned that human companionship can be something wonderful.
He’s also a bit of a mummy’s boy! 🥹❤️ He’s still living alongside his mum, which gives him some much-needed comfort and reassurance.
❤️ But that’s where his new chapter begins.
Here at MacDonald Rescue and Friends, we’re giving Rocco all the time, patience and reassurance he needs to discover that people can be trusted.
We haven’t seen his true personality shine through just yet, but we’re looking forward to discovering the character hiding behind those beautiful eyes.
And there’s absolutely no rush. Rocco will stay safely with us until he has gained the confidence to take his next steps towards a forever home.
🐾 WHAT KIND OF HOME WILL ROCCO NEED?
🩶 A calm, quiet home with patient people who understand nervous cats.
🩶 A friendly, confident resident cat to show him the ropes, or the opportunity to be adopted alongside a more confident rescue companion.
🩶 A home without young children, as he is still easily frightened.
🩶 A quiet, cat-friendly dog could be considered with careful introductions, although Rocco is still learning about dogs.
🩶 Most importantly, someone willing to give him time, space and unconditional love without expecting instant affection.
🩺 BEFORE LEAVING FOR HIS FOREVER HOME
Rocco will be:
🐾 Neutered
🐾 Vaccinated
🐾 Microchipped
🐾 Up to date with flea and worm treatments
🐾 Fully vet checked
All of this will be completed before Rocco is ready to leave for his forever home.
💕 Rocco doesn’t need someone to change him overnight. He needs someone who will love him while he learns to trust.
We believe that somewhere out there is a special person who will see past his fear and recognise the wonderful companion he has the potential to become.
