Fantastic win for England 13.5 to Scotlands 10.5.
Thanks goes to team captain , Dale Banks and vice captain Brian White.
Looking forward to the return match in England in September 2027.

We attended Bondhay GC yesterday for the annual Peter Colson-Osbourne trophy.
3rd place was Brian White.
2nd was Andy Steward and 1st place OCB was Dale Banks with 31 points.
The trophy was presented by Jacqui, Peter’s widow.

Special thanks to the lady captain, Julie for selecting the DGA as her chosen charity.

We had a fantastic couple of days at our annual North V South competition at the Warwickshire GC, spa and hotel.
Weather was great and the course and greens were in excellent condition.
Lots of banter and friendly rivalry.
The north won again with a final score of 11-4.
Sadly, we have now finished for the season. I would like to thank John Riordan, Neil Baird and Shaun Thompson for all their efforts in arranging events over the country,getting the best deal and looking after the golfers on the day.
We all appreciate it.

The last event of the season was held at Woolton GC.
Ged Hart was 3rd, Stephen Rimmer 2nd and Andy Stewart was 1st.
Tough conditions at times with the wind howling down the fairways.

I also had the great honour of presenting the trophy to the winner of the OOM 2025 , Jane White.

A very pleasant return visit to Sandhill GC, Barnsley today.
We welcomed 2 new members Chris and Emilio to our family of golfers.
Course was in very good condition despite the very dry spell.
Lovely meal afterwards served in a large Yorkshire pudding.
3rd place was Neil Baird, 2nd place was Stephen Rimmer and the winner today was Jane White.
Her victory today has ensured that she is the first lady golfer to win the 2025 DGA OOM.
Well done Jane and congratulations.

A new course on the DGA calendar Donnington Valley GC , Newbury. We were greeted by the General Manager John Bowness, who made sure our day was a success including moving all the buggies to the club house himself, The bar staff were very helpful and considerate. Thank you Donnington Valley.
The greens were in fantastic condition considering the recent hot weather.

A mixed bag of results but in 1st place with 36pts was Tony Jones, in 2nd Place with 34pts Peter McLaughlin, in 3rd place with 33pts Jonathan Alexander

We returned to one of our favourite courses in the North, Rudding Park.
We were well looked after and the food was excellent.
The course was in great condition and we were all hit by rain and strong winds, followed by sunshine.
Nearest the pin were Dale and Phil.
3rd place was Stephen Rimmer, 2nd was Dale Banks and the thoroughly deserved win went to Ged Hart.

We returned to Hadden Hill GC and as always received a warm friendly reception from the Pro shop and clubhouse staff. The course was is excellent condition, the weather was a mix of sunshine, rain and gusty winds.
With 5 members on 31 points 2nd and 3rd was decided on count back
In 3rd place Shaun Thompson
2nd was Chris Reed and our out right winner with 35 points ,and his first win of the season, was Peter McLaughlin

Yesterday we returned to one of our favourite golf courses, Whitefield in Manchester for our annual Northern Open.
As usual, we were regally welcomed and catered for by all at the club.
It’s a tough course and no one got nearest the pin but Brian White managed to win nearest the pin in 2 on a par 4.
I’m chuffed to bits that my playing partner Jane White won the event on CB with Stephen Rimmer in 2nd place.
John Riordan in 3rd place.
Jane is back in the lead for this years OOM⛳️
