Unfortunately our planned speaker this month had to cancel. But thanks to our quick-thinking committee, we came together at the eleventh hour and made sure we still got to craft in November.

A huge thanks to Wendy, Deb and Clare who got all the bits together - thank you!!

Remember our December meeting is a week earlier than normal (Thursday 18th). We plan to have various little games around the room we can move between, and draw our huge Christmas Raffle!
Mulled wine and mince pies are on order, so make sure to bring your Christmas jumper! All welcome!

We are pleased to announce that tickets for next year's County Annual Meeting will go on sale on the 1st January.

To help all our members, ticket prices remain the same as last year including our special early bird pricing and a tea/coffee on arrival.

Remember that each WI can send one delegate for the bargain price of £5. If you would like to be your WI's delegate please talk to your WI Secretary.

It's definitely not too soon to make Christmas plans. Come along to one of our Carol Concerts on Wednesday 3rd December in the Kings Road URC, Westcliff on Sea.

The afternoon concert at 2.30pm features local harpist Louise O'Connor and the choir of Chalkwell Hall Primary School.

At the evening concert at 7pm, we have two amazing local singing groups joining us. First up is Southend Vox who will bring Christmas energy and great vibes with their festive community singing. Then we will be entertained by our sponsored all-female sea shanty crew The Silver Darlings bringing their tight harmonies and festive joy.

Before both concerts a few of our local WIs are providing festive refreshments so come along early and grab a mince pie and cuppa! Thanks to Broadway Belles WI, Leigh Evening WI, Thorpe Bay & Southchurch WI and Westcliff on Sea WI.

What a fantastic evening last night! 🍞✨

A huge thank you to Giovannone Di Sarno AKA The culinary adventures of a travelling baker for an incredibly detailed and informative session on the art of bread making and the rich history behind it. From ancient shapes 🥖 to modern techniques, every moment was filled with fascinating stories, a lot of laughs, and delicious tasting!

We left inspired — and maybe just a little hungry — to roll up our sleeves and start baking! 👨‍🍳👩‍🍳
