HUGE Thank you to Diane Morton (KCC Cabinet Member for Social Care and Public Health), KCC Councillor Wayne Chapman Reform UK and our Tenterden Town Council Mayor Andrew Holcombe (pictured with Lindsay Franklin CEO of Tenterden Social Hub) for visiting Tenterden Social Hub & Dementia Centre and The Coffee Shop at EC30 today. The visit showcased how our charity supports our Tenterden Community and they met our lovely staff and volunteers and our oldest member Jack Parker who has just celebrated his 103rd birthday! 😀😎

A fabulous 103rd Birthday Celebration for Jack was enjoyed by us all at Tenterden Social Hub & Dementia Centre!

Joined by the lovely The Ruby Sisterz and our members, staff and volunteers, we all had a great time.

When Jack was born the world was a very different place:
• Prince Albert and Lady Bowes-Lyon (Queen mother) married
• Stanley Baldwin was UK Prime Minister
• Wembley Stadium was opened
• Howard Carter revealed the tomb of Tutankhamun in Egypt
• The Walt Disney company was founded
• The iconic HOLLYWOOD sign was inaugurated in California
• The first dinosaur eggs were discovered
• Flying Scotsman" locomotive goes into service
• The world population was 4.37 billion – now its over 8 billion

We celebrated the history Jack has witnessed and the future celebrations he has yet to enjoy, including many more at the Hub. Thank you to all who helped to prepare and participate in this amazing event!
