4th Tenby Guides

4th Tenby Guides Serving the families of Tenby since 1923, 4th Tenby Guides is open to all girls aged between 10 and 14. Girls will never be stuck for something to do in Guides.

In Guides, girls follow an exciting and varied programme designed to inspire and challenge them. What girls do in Guides is up to them, from taking part in lots of exciting activities at regular meetings to special events and trips away. They will choose from different badges and awards which will help them learn new skills and try new challenges. They can do some of these on their own at home, an

d others will be done in groups in their regular unit meetings. Whether they want to dedicate some time to exploring the outdoors, really focus on their hobbies, or challenge themselves with something new, there is something at Guides that suits everyone!

4th Tenby Guides and 1st Tenby Rangers made the most of the sunny weather with a nature hike this evening. The girls were set the task of finding something from nature for each letter of the alphabet - some of the answers were very creative!

For over 100 years 4th Tenby Guides have been a part of the community, and now, this Volunteer's Week, we are looking for new adult volunteers to help us continue with that tradition.

What does it mean to be a volunteer in Girlguiding?

There’s a moment… and if you know, you know.

It’s not the big, shiny, “look what we did!” moment.
It’s the tiny one no one claps for.

It’s when a girl who wouldn’t speak… suddenly won’t stop talking 💬
When “I can’t” quietly turns into “wait… I just did it?!”
When someone who stood on the edge… runs straight in, laughing 💨✨

And in the background?
A leader.

Covered in glitter (obviously).
Holding 17 things that aren’t theirs.
Running 3 conversations, 2 games, and a mild crisis about a missing sock… all at once 🧦

They’ll laugh until they cry with the girls…
Then sometimes cry a little on the drive home too — because they felt it.
Because they saw it.
Because they know something just changed for that girl, forever.

No one sees the WhatsApp planning at 10pm.
Or the “I hope I did that right” moments.
Or the quiet worrying, the big caring, the showing up even when life is… life-ing.

But week after week, they’re there.
Making space. Holding it. Filling it with chaos, kindness, and courage 💛

And somehow… in between the glue sticks, the giggles, and the “please don’t eat that” moments…
they build something extraordinary.

Confidence.
Belonging.
Little sparks that turn into big futures.

If you think you could be someone who makes a difference to a girl's life, however small, please do get in touch or register your interest here: https://www.girlguiding.org.uk/get-involved/become-a-volunteer/

Happy Space Day 2026! 🚀🌙

We’ve been following the journey of Christina Koch, a former Girl Scout in the USA who is now a mission specialist on the crewed Artemis II mission, launched this April. Her incredible story is inspiring girls everywhere to reach for the stars! ✨🚀 ✨

💜 Happy International Women’s Day 2026! 💜

Today we’re celebrating the amazing women who make guiding in Wales possible.

A huge thank you to our incredible leaders, unit helpers, commissioners, trustees, trainers and volunteers across Cymru who give their time, skills and passion to support girls every week. Because of you, girls can build confidence, try new things, find their voice and know they belong. 🌟

We also want to say thank you to our Cymru Chief team and staff team for the dedication and care they bring to supporting guiding across Wales.

And today we celebrate the women behind the scenes who help make guiding possible for our girls, mums, carers, grandparents and family members who encourage them, bring them along each week and cheer them on. 💛

Happy International Women’s Day 2026 to you all.

🎉💙 Happy World Thinking Day 2026!

Today we celebrate something truly special, the 100th anniversary of World Thinking Day. For a century, Girlguiding and Girl Scouts around the world have come together in friendship, reflection and action. 🌍✨

Our Chief Commissioner, Kathy Gunner, shares this message:

“The theme of this year’s World Thinking Day is Our Friendship. Friends are those who are loyal and support us. They are by our side at the best of times and whenever we need them.

From the youngest Rainbow we share adventures with our friends. We care about our friends whether we see them every day or if they are on the other side of the world, whether they’ve been in our lives for many years or we have only just met them.

Especially today, think of your friends and the fun you have with them.

Happy World Thinking Day!”

To help you celebrate, we’ve shared brand new Thinking Day clipart in our library, and everyone is welcome to use it! 🎨

🕯️🌿 Holocaust Memorial Day 2026 🌿🕯️

Today, on Holocaust Memorial Day, we remember the six million Jewish people, along with millions of others, who were murdered during the Holocaust and under N**i persecution. We also honour the survivors and all those affected by genocide throughout history.

Here at Girlguiding Pembrokeshire, we stand for remembrance, kindness, and standing up against hatred and prejudice. By learning about the past, we help ensure a future built on respect, compassion, and understanding for everyone. ✨

Let’s take a moment to reflect, remember, and commit to making the world a safer, kinder place. 💛
