We'll be there ready to talk to you about Tenbury
Tenbury Countryside Show - a poem
‘Twas night before show, all cattle a glow,
Sheep were a bleating, looking forward to meeting, the public at this local do.
The tuggers came heaving, not looking for leaving, ‘til cup was awarded, to best in this national show.
The white-faced Herefords,
“whose show it really is”, exhibit power and quality sublime.
They conquered the world, to bring final word, to the best of taste and dine.
The shires in their majesty look down with all gravity, to see young children amazed.
Their power and their beauty, not to mention their duty, made England’s proud acres to graze.
The ring’s main attractions bring many factions, to see bold and brave side by side. From traction to action it’s all true reaction, to those who bring life to the stage.
From eggs, cakes and flowers contestants show powers, of skill and attention to rules.
When tasting the vino, don’t the sample the whole though, or you will be drunker than fools.
For one day a year, we all pull in gear,
to make this fine day a success.
For farming and livestock, this show is a must stop, to show our dear public the best.
The food of this nation stands all the attention, from foodies and diners alike.
You simply can’t beat it, so go on and eat it, the produce of this show’s divine.
