This week we are preparing the space on the other side of the canal basin to reduce the tree canopy in readiness for the raised beds
Room for more flowers & Veggies

We have lots more plants this week for sale and Tina will be on hand on Sat to help with plant sales.
Penny & Jo carried on with the never ending task of weeding, but far easier when the son is shining 😀

Remember from this Fri The Welldeck at Wappenshall Wharf is open on Fridays, Saturdays & Sundays and we have stocked up on plants in readiness 🌸🌺🪴🌺🌸
This week we have:
Delphiniums
Salvia
Lavender
Verbena
Achilla
Veronica
All great plants and hardy perennials that come back year after year.

Why not come down, have coffee and cake and grab yourself some fantastic plants 🌺🪴🪴 every plant sold supports The Community Garden ❤️😍

What a difference ❤️❤️❤️, the Community Garden at Wappenshall Wharf has exploded in to a haven for wildlife, 🐝🐝🐝the rain and sunshine has done all the planting 🌸🌺🌸 a world of goodness and its looking great.
Buzzing with wildlife and fitting beautifully with the space, traditional cottage style perennial planting.
Thanks to our wonderful volunteers who are keeping it looking great with regular volunteer days
Keep your eye on the 50 David Austin Roses, they are just starting to flower 😊 and smell divine.

Another busy day Wappenshall Wharf Community Garden & The Welldeck at Wappenshall Wharf supporting The Shrewsbury and Newport Canals Trust

Lots of volunteers all working in the heat! 🥵🌞🌞🥵
Thanks this week to Kim, Penny, Jayne, Amie, Ben, Steph
We did lots of weeding, deadheading and planted up a cut flower bed on the opposite side of the canal basin and then gave everything a good drink. 💦💦💦

Lots more plants sales too 🌸🪴🌺🌸🪴🌺, thanks everyone for your on-going lovely comments and support. 😍😊

BIG thanks to today’s volunteers

We focused on weeding the path and they did a great job in the heat.
Celebrated our hard work with drinks and homemade apple cake 🍰 🥰

This week only, until we run out.. we will be selling in addition to our hardy perennials, we will have a limited number of Heirloom Tomatoes, all grown at Grooms Cottage, these are good sized plants and you won't find them in the garden centre 😀

A big thank you to everyone that came down to The Welldeck at Wappenshall Wharf for breakfast, Tea, coffee or cake and went away with Plants. 🪴🪴🪴🪴
Every plant bought goes back into funds to support the Community Garden and you should notice week on week that the surrounding areas are being planted up.

We have a few Plants left for tomorrow, but there will be more supplies for Saturday next week.😊

Our next gardening volunteer day is Friday, the 22nd of May 10 am to 3 pm 🥰👨‍🌾🌼🌺🥰
