👻 Get ready for a spooktacular afternoon of Halloween fun!

🎃Join us at the Christopher Turley Armed Forces Hub for our Kids Halloween Boo-gie on Saturday 31 October, from 2pm to 5pm.

Expect an afternoon packed with music, Halloween games, fancy dress fun, and food included for just £2.50 per person.

Fancy dress is optional, so if your little monsters come as witches, superheroes, skeletons or ghosts, we'd love to see them there! 🧙‍♀️

Our Job Box team will be at the Christopher Turley Armed Forces Community Hub on Wednesday 23 September (9.30am-12 noon).

Information will be available about careers in the armed forces as well as general careers advice, support with job searches, CV writing, interview techniques and much more.

Pop in and see The Job Box team at the hub based at Dawley House, 22 Burton Street, Dawley, Telford TF4 2ES.

The hub is an official VALOUR-recognised centre for veterans offering drop-in support for serving armed forces personnel, those leaving service, veterans and their families, as well as offering a social space to meet like-minded people.

Today, on Merchant Navy Day, we pay tribute to the UK's merchant seafarers, past and present.

Responsible for transporting around 95% of the UK's trade by sea, the Merchant Navy plays a vital role in keeping our country supplied and connected with the world.

We also remember the courage and sacrifice of the merchant seafarers who served during the First and Second World Wars, often facing great danger to keep essential goods and materials flowing. After the Second World War, thousands of merchant seafarers never returned home.

Today’s Merchant Navy remains fundamental to Britain’s economy and resilience, so we thank all those who have served, and continue to serve, in this essential industry. ⚓🇬🇧

🌟 Salute their Service walks return this September

Two of our Salute their Service walks had to be postponed during June's hot weather, but we're delighted to announce they're now back on the calendar.

Join us for a free, friendly walk and afternoon tea as we continue our Armed Forces Week celebrations and recognise the service and sacrifice of our Armed Forces community.

Today, we remember 81 years since VJ Day.

On 15 August 1945, victory was declared in the Far East, leading to celebrations across the UK.

We honour those who served in the Far East.

We will remember them.
