Major brands have signed up to support the Armed Forces community during Armed Forces Week. 🙌

Cotswold Outdoor, Decathlon UK, HelloFresh and Mountain Warehouse have been revealed as Official Partners during Armed Forces Week, with all offering special additional savings to military personnel and veterans between 22-28 June. 🇬🇧

Full details will be published on Monday 22 June on https://ow.ly/MWWO50ZcPUF, which also features offers and bargains for the Armed Forces community all year round.

Where in-store discounts are available, members of the Armed Forces community can claim savings by showing one of the following in-store:

🔸 Defence Discount Service privilege card (physical or digital)
🔸 MOD90 Armed Forces personnel ID card
🔸 HM Armed Forces Veteran Card (physical or digital)

🎖️Salute their Service walks 🎖️

Here’s the full list of Salute their Service walks taking place to mark Armed Forces Week.

Each walk should last 40 to 45 minutes at a steady pace and are accessible for wheelchairs. All of the walks are free and include a relaxed afternoon tea 🍰

🚶‍♂️Monday 22 June – meet at Wellington Methodist Church at 12noon
An opportunity to meet with like-minded people for a short walk around Bowring Park followed a presentation from a historian and a celebratory afternoon tea.

🚶‍♂️Wednesday 24 June – meet at Newport Navy Club at 12noon
A walk along the canal followed by afternoon tea.

🚶‍♂️Thursday 25 June – meet at The Christopher Turley Armed Forces Hub in Dawley at 12noon
Walk and talk with Dave Shaw, a local historian who will talk about Dawley’s proud military history, followed by afternoon tea.

🚶‍♂️Monday 29 June – meet at Turreff Hall in Donnington at 12noon
A short walk which will include an opportunity for reflection at the Donnington War Memorial followed by a presentation from local veteran Mike Smith, and afternoon tea.

🚶‍♂️Thursday 2 July – meet at The Anstice in Madeley at 12noon
Join us for a gentle stroll around Madeley, connecting with like-minded people, before returning to The Anstice for a presentation from local historian Alan Jones, followed by afternoon tea.

🚶‍♂️Friday 3 July – meet at The Wakes in Oakengates at 12noon
Enjoy the early summer planting on a walk around Hartshill Park, ending with afternoon tea at The Wakes.

Salute Their Service

Telford & Wrekin Council is marking Armed Forces Week with a series of FREE walk & talk events around Telford and Wrekin.

On these gentle walks on level surfaces you can hear from local historians and veterans, and then enjoy a relaxed afternoon tea.
Come along and connect with others in the Armed Forces community.

On the 82nd anniversary of D-Day – the Allied landings that helped secure Europe’s freedom – these names are added to the British Normandy Memorial
