Staffordshire Wing AGS Weekend ✈️🛰️

This weekend we welcomed cadets from across Staffordshire Wing to 633 AGS to take part in a number of courses.

We provided aviation training through the blue RPAS syllabus and bronze ATP, as well as bronze and silver space training, and battlespace leadership exercisies.

Thank you as always to the FSCs and CFAV who supported the training, and congratulations to all those cadets who attended and achieved their qualifications!

Earlier in our Officer Commanding was selected to attend the Cadet Force Adult Volunteer Recognition Dinner.

This was a chance to meet colleagues from the other Cadet Forces, reflect on the hard work of volunteers and was concluded with a speech from Minister of Veterans and People, Calvin Bailey

Thank you to Regional Commandant Wales and West Air Cadets for the nomination to attend.

⭐️ Volunteer Celebration ⭐️

As part of we are taking the opportunity to celebrate our Cadet Forces Adult Volunteers.

We would like to recognise the ongoing effort of a local unsung hero, our Adjutant Sqn Ldr Stephen Cahill. Whether it’s planning and delivering courses for cadets, supporting with administration or offering advice, Sqn Ldr Cahill is always on hand to support.

When he isn’t supporting our unit, you can find him supporting other local units on subjects such as shooting, or providing transport for cadets to their activities.

Thank you sir for your ongoing commitment to the organisation!

⭐️ Cadets in the Community ⭐️

Our dedicated Flight Staff Cadets regularly give up their time to support other cadets in the delivery of training courses.

We also have a chance to support the wider community through sharing of time and experience. One example of this is at where our cadets demonstrate some of the basic principles behind how flight simulators work to the general public.

On we say thank you to our team!

NATIONAL CADETS WEEK 2026

This week, we’re celebrating the young people, adult volunteers, and experiences that make the Air Cadets the incredible organisation it is.

From leadership and adventure to aviation, STEM, sport, music and community, the Air Cadets gives young people the opportunity to learn new skills, challenge themselves, build confidence and create memories that last a lifetime.

Our cadets and adult volunteers are doing incredible things every week — and during National Cadets Week, we’ll be shining a spotlight on just some of them.

Over the coming days, we’ll introduce you to some of the people, activities and opportunities that make being part of the Air Cadets so special.

Whether you’re already part of the organisation, a proud parent, a former cadet, or simply curious about what we do … This week is for you.
