❓ Are you fully prepared for the evolving fragrance allergen regulations impacting your aromatherapy products?

Fragrance allergens are tightening up, especially for essential-oil-based cosmetics. The EU has significantly expanded its list of declarable allergens, with low thresholds that capture many natural essential oil constituents. While Great Britain (GB) has not yet followed suit, if you sell into the EU, you already need this extra detail on your labels and in your Product Information Files (PIFs).

Many members report struggles to obtain complete allergen breakdowns, confusion over how to handle the differing GB/EU labeling requirements, and concerns about the impact on their hero blends and signature fragrances.

Joining the Aromatherapy Trade Council (ATC) will provide you with clear allergen updates, support to interpret supplier specifications, and a collective voice to address aromatherapy-specific concerns in consultations.
