We're a Telford based Repair Cafe that fix items to promote sustainable living, climate change, and the right to repair. You can find venue and event info on our page. We work with local groups and volunteers to repair items for small "pay what you can" donations. The Men In Sheds, Climate Action Hub Telford, Terracycle Telford, Transition Telford, Telford Makerspace (and many more) work together

as a network to provide eco-friendly services to the community. We also work with individual members of the community that want to make a difference, meet new people, and get involved locally. New volunteers are always welcome, of all skill levels! We accept repairers, hosts, and anyone who'd like to help out for the day. You can also join our volunteers group on Facebook. This page is administrated by Ann and Jade. The trustees: Ann, Willie, Vivienne, Jade.

Repair Cafés make their voices heard in UK Parliament

Representatives from over a hundred Repair Cafés visited the UK Parliament in London on 25 March. There, they spoke with a total of 91 MPs to explain why repair and reuse are important. The MPs could also experience for themselves how much fun repairing can be. Together with volunteers, they tackled various items such as a hairdryer, an iron and a kettle.

I missed the March cafe, but I hear it was a busy and successful session. Thirty two items brought in, which included a dining chair, where we were able to show the customer how to fix if it occurs on other chairs, a child’s drone, an old racing car (see picture)
plus various radios, a Kettle & a Sewing machine. Unusually no vacuum cleaners!
Most were fixed on the spot and I believe some others have been repaired since, and the owners informed.
We had several first time visitors and it was good to see new faces.
Full details of our Cafe on April 25th will be posted very soon.
