On World Mental Health Day it’s worth highlighting that studies show that one of the very best possible activities you can do for your mental health is to increase your endorphin and dopamine levels by singing, in a group, led by a positive happy person, surrounded by other people who feel good. That’ll be four big ticks if you sing with the Darby Singers then!! 🎶❤️

And we are back!!!! ❤️🎶 First rehearsal last night, first performance today 😂 Well done to all our singers who performed today, especially our brand new member Siobhan Harding, who only joined yesterday and performed with us today 🤩 That must be some sort of record 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻🥰

Super proud to be nominated as Community Champions in our 30th year of being a very strongly community focused choir! Our founder would also be incredibly proud and delighted as this was always his vision, which lives on as strongly as ever 🥰

22 years ago the Darby Singers lost our founder and MD Bernard Crawforth, who died suddenly and unexpectedly. The shock was palpable as we mourned the loss of this wonderful man, who inspired so many people with his passion for music.
The Darby Singers continued under new direction, but Bernie's influence lives on in the spirit and ethos of a choir that welcomes all members with open arms, irrespective of musical ability. A true community choir founded by a true community-minded gentleman.
Proud to have known you Bernard, and thank you for your gift of the Darby Singers. RIP.
