Royal British Legion Oakengates Oakengates Branch of the Royal British Legion. Oakengates and District members get together to participate in social, fundraising and welfare activities.

Meetings take place in the meeting room at Stallard Court Hartsbridge Road Oakengates
TF2 6DR on the first Wednesday monthly at 1800hrs. The Royal British Legion is the UK's leading Armed Forces charity and one of its largest membership organisations.

RBL Oakengates Branch meeting for all members on Wednesday 4th March starting at 1800 at the Crown Inn Oakengates.

All branch members are welcome to attend this meeting. You'll meet the committee members, be able to ask questions and meet with others in a warm, friendly environment. We hope to see you there!

Great afternoon at our monthly Beer and Banter session for local veterans. Thanks to Emma from The Outpost and the team for raising £110 which provided a Christmas gift to all our Veterans.

Thanks also to John and Tania at the Crown Inn for hosting us and their continuing support.

Gill Phythian, Ange Lewis, John Forster, Mo Wallace for the festive food. Last but not least to Nicky Nisbett for the extra gifts to the veterans.

🕊️ This morning, we observed the two-minute silence for Armistice Day at Hartshill Park, laying a wreath at the Memorial Poppy Cross in quiet remembrance.

Children from Wombridge Primary School also attended and laid their own handmade poppy wreaths, a touching tribute that added heartfelt meaning to the occasion.

Lest we forget. 🌺

The band were honoured to lead the Remembrance Parade in Oakengates this morning with Oakengates Town Council and Royal British Legion Oakengates.
