🎉❤️ A HUGE THANK YOU! ❤️🎉

We wanted to say a massive, heartfelt thank you to everyone who has donated so far!

Thanks to your incredible kindness, we have raised a combined total of £295 between our bank and PayPal pool! Every single 50p makes a huge difference for Ho**er’s life-saving FIP treatment and helps us cover vital vet care, food, litter, and flea/wormers for all the other rescue cats relying on us. 🐾

Thank you all so much for being an amazing support network for our cats. Hopefully, a few more weekend pennies will roll in, but we are so incredibly grateful for your love and backing this Friday! 💖

☕️➡️🐱 50p FRIDAY: TRADING A FRIDAY TREAT TO SAVE A LIFE 🐱➡️🍩

It’s Friday, which means many of us are looking forward to a little end-of-the-week treat—maybe a fancy coffee, a chocolate bar, or a takeaway snack. Today, we’re asking for a very small trade-off: could you skip just one tiny treat today and donate 50p to our cats instead?

👇 FAST WAYS TO DONATE YOUR 50p: 👇

💳 Bank Transfer:
• Account Name: Teresa Spanton
• Sort Code: 08-90-66
• Account Number: 16198524

📲 PayPal Pool: https://www.paypal.com/pool/9slrNrGLuW

🩺 Pay Direct to Our Vet Accounts:
(Call up and put a payment straight onto our bills!)
• Southwater Vets (Telford): 01952 309306 (Quote: "Next Steps Cat Rescue")
• The Market Town Vet (Shrewsbury): 01743 816288

Our brave boy Ho**er has officially started his 12-week FIP treatment. It is a literal miracle cure that will save his life, but it is heartbreakingly expensive. Between the specialist antiviral medications and the mountain of vital medical tests he needs over the next 84 days, his bills alone will run into thousands of pounds.

But Ho**er isn't the only one who needs you today. 🐾
Behind the scenes, we have a rescue full of beautiful souls relying on us entirely. Your 50p Friday donations keep our wheels turning for all the other cats in our care who are waiting for their forever homes or getting better first. Every single day, we face mounting bills for:

• 🏥 Vital veterinary care and medications for sick and injured rescues.

• 🪱 Regular flea and worming treatments to keep every single cat healthy, comfortable, and pest-free.

• 🥣 Endless bowls of food and piles of fresh litter to keep everyone full, clean, and comfortable.

• 🏡 Our special long-term residents—the cats with complex medical issues who will stay with us for life, safe and loved under our permanent protection.

As a small rescue, this financial mountain is enormous to climb, but 50p Friday is our secret weapon. A single 50p coin might not buy much in a shop these days, but when our amazing community pools them together, they buy medicine, food, protection, and a future.

✨ If you cannot donate today, please hit SHARE! Your share costs nothing but helps our story travel further to find adopters and supporters! 💖

Thank you all so much for your incredible, life-saving kindness. Let's make a massive difference this Friday! 🌟

*Adopt Me*

Evening everyone, it's Basil here, and today the vets gave me the all clear, and I can now find my forever home!

I came into rescue as a stray who was covered in flies and maggots, I was cleaned up, and then I went into septic shock!

So I have already used 2 of my 9 lives!

I am a HUGE lovebug.

I just want a human, I don't care about having any feline friends, and I definitely do not wish to live with any dogs.

I will play, but I just want to snuggle up on your lap, give you kisses, and just be loved.

I like to follow you around. Basically, I am just waiting for either freshly cooked chicken or for you to sit down so I can get on your lap.

So, who wants to give me the forever home I truly deserve?

Thanks Basil 😻

🎄 DUNELM TELFORD IS DELIVERING JOY TO NEXT STEPS CAT RESCUE! 🎄

We are absolutely thrilled to announce that the Dunelm Telford store has chosen Next Steps Cat Rescue as a local cause for their wonderful "Delivering Joy" Christmas campaign this year! 🎁✨

If you’d like to help bring some extra comfort and joy to our rescue cats this Christmas, it is incredibly easy to take part:

1. Pick a Tag: Pop into the Dunelm Telford store and choose a Next Steps tag from their special in-store Christmas tree.

2. Fill a Gift Bag: The tag will list specific items our rescue cats desperately need. Fill an unsealed gift bag with those goodies (no wrapping paper, please!).

3. Drop it Off: Return your filled, unsealed gift bag back to a Dunelm store colleague by the date on the tag.

Every single tag claimed means a rescue cat gets a little bit of magic this holiday season. We are so incredibly grateful to the team at Dunelm Telford and to our amazing community for always standing by our side.

Head down to Dunelm Telford, grab a tag, and help us deliver joy! 🐾❤️

Delivering Joy starts now 🎁

This year, we're on a mission to donate 150,000 presents to people who need them most. Every gift brings a little extra magic to someone's Christmas, so join us and help deliver joy from your local store. https://bit.ly/3W2MuRR

🐾 FELINE THURSDAY: HO**ER UPDATE 🐾

A massive THANK YOU to everyone who funded Ho**er’s CT scan. Results show severe fluid buildup on his brain (hydrocephalus) and swollen neck lymph nodes. With other infections like Toxoplasmosis completely ruled out, Neurological FIP is the most likely suspect.

We can't wait for his balance to worsen, so our vets started him on his life-saving GS antiviral trial yesterday afternoon! 🎉

We don't know how he will tolerate it yet, but a good response over the coming weeks will confirm the diagnosis. The great news is he is eating wonderfully and still really playful!

This life-saving medication is incredibly expensive and required daily for 84 days. We will be launching a vital fundraiser to cover his treatment journey tomorrow.

Please keep our brave boy in your thoughts today, and watch our page tomorrow to help us save his life! ❤️

🎶🎤 JEFF’S BIG Audition: DREAMING OF THE SPOTLIGHT 🎤🎶

Move over, The X Factor—Jeff is ready for his solo! 🌟

While the rest of our residents are busy daydreaming about cozy laps and afternoon naps, Jeff still dreams of pursuing his singing career. As you can see, he’s already practicing his stage presence and looks exactly like he’s holding his microphone, hitting those perfect high notes! 🐾❤️

We had a huge wave of adoption posts go live yesterday, showcasing some of our absolutely beautiful residents who are ready and waiting to find their forever homes.

If you have a spare moment today, please go back and hit share on yesterday’s adoption posts.

It costs absolutely nothing, but it makes a world of difference. Every single share pushes their little faces onto more timelines, increases their visibility, and brings them one step closer to finding their happily ever afters. ✨

The right home is out there for every single one of them—sometimes they just need a little help being seen!

Thank you so much for your continued support and for helping us change their lives. 💖
