I was awarded the High Sheriff of Shropshire Award this week for the great snd valuable service I provide to the Shropshire and Telford and Wrekin community.

Presented by the High Sheriff Jane Trowbridge and the Lord Lieutenant Anna Turner.

Being the founder and managing Recharge is my vocation and passion.

It's something I do every single day because I care about providing support for young people.

To be recognised for the work I do is really nice to know that making a difference to the community is appreciated and noticed.

And finally..... the Recharge Team had some fun on our staff Christmas do, in true recovery style not a drop if alcohol was had and we had the best laughs at axe throwing.

Everyone has worked so hard and it was a perfect end of the busiest year I we've ever had at recharge !!

Not only did we put on 2 huge events one to launch the charity and the second was Telfords very first young people's recovery conference.

As if that wasn't enough we officially became a charity and moved premises !

So from all the team we would like to wish you all a happy Christmas and peaceful New year 🌲

We are offering a phone support service over the holiday and open in the new year on Tuesday 6th January.

Recharge Christmas meal 2025, this year staff and group members had a delicious meal at the Seven Gorge in Telford Town Centre.

The meal and gifts were provided by the fundraiser achieved by earlier this year, thank you 🙏🏽

We always put the young people first with any funding we get, providing a free confidential service, a safe place to to be heard, recovery groups and cool activities is our priority.

Thank you to everyone who has supported us this year you all know who you are, it's so appreciated 💯 ❤ 🎄 🌟

We have finally done it !! after 8 years being based in Brookside in Telford we have moved to a bigger central location ...

We have finally done it !! after 8 years being based in Brookside in Telford we have moved to a bigger central location in Wellington Telford.

After our landlords at Brookside community centre ( a charity ) increased our rent by 35% we had to take immediate action to find a new premises.

So with the help of a local youth worker and friend he introduced me to our new landlord.

This feels like a brand new chapter for Recharge Telford as on the final day of the tenancy at Brookside we got the official notification we are now officially a Charity !!!

The service we offer remains the same, all contact details and referral pathway remains the same, our new address is

Wow what a huge success at the Recharge and Rise event today !

4 group members of recharge have been meeting up for the past 10 weeks to plan and host Telfords very first young people's recovery event in celebration of UK Recovery Month which is held every year in September.

We had performances from and Aiden, a preview of the films made by the planning group and lived experience talks from people who have come through their own struggles with addiction.

We got to wear the tshirts also designed by the group members, there was a prize quiz and everyone got to make a canvas art keepsake to remember the day.

We will be posting our 2 short films on our YouTube channel which is recharge telford.

Thank you everyone who came along and got involved and also helped out too many to mention !, a big shout out to who travelled a long way to be with us today.

Local resident Tim Rogers, aka Trademark Blud, is taking on a crazy challenge for a great cause this September 🎤 🚶🏻‍♂️

On 20 September, Tim will hike the Wrekin (407m / 1,335ft) while rapping and freestyling the whole way. As he does this, he will also be carrying a 20kg PA system on his back — all to raise money for Recharge Telford, a local charity helping 12–21-year-olds affected by substance use or parental addiction. 💚

Even after being diagnosed with emphysema last year, an incurable chronic lung disease, Tim is training hard and is determined to make it to the top in under 90 minutes. It’s all about pushing limits, having fun, and giving back to the community that supports him. To support, please see link in the comments 👇
