TeignAid is a not for profit community group set up to provide support and advice to the homeless and those at risk of homelessness in the Teignbridge area. TeignAid seeks to help those who are currently homeless and those at risk of homelessness. This means anyone who is struggling to pay their rent, have received notice to quit or are facing possession proceedings at court. We can also help people navigate the myriad of different agencies, speak on their behalf and help with benefit claims.

Exexter City Council is activating its Severe Weather Emergency Protocol (SWEP) from Wednesday, 5 February, until Monday, 10 February, as sub-zero temperatures are forecast.

Emergency measures to bring rough sleepers indoors have been put in place in Exeter this week as overnight temperatures are set to fall below freezing.

The City Council is activating its Severe Weather Emergency Protocol (SWEP) from Wednesday, 5 February, until Monday, 10 February, as sub-zero temperatures are forecast for the city.

Temperatures are expected to rise next week, but the Council will review the protocol on Monday.

The protocol provides extra emergency accommodation for rough sleepers.
